Appliance not working?

Local appliance and TV help in Inverness and across the Highlands

Appliance or TV not working? Before you book an engineer, speak to us.

When an appliance or TV stops working, it is easy to waste time on the wrong next step — booking the wrong engineer, chasing the wrong warranty route, or replacing something too quickly.

Call us first and we’ll help you work out the most sensible route: simple checks, warranty support, repair advice or replacement if that genuinely makes more sense.

We’ll help you avoid the wrong next step

After more than 25 years supplying, delivering and installing appliances and TVs across Inverness and the Highlands, we have a good sense of the issues that are often simple, the faults that may require professional repair, and when replacement may be the more practical route.

We cannot diagnose every fault over the phone, and we are not a repair company, but in many cases we can help you work out the right next step in a few minutes.

The aim is simple: helping you avoid wasting time, money or effort in the wrong direction.

How we can help

Talk through the fault

Tell us what the appliance or TV is doing, how old it is, and whether there are any warning lights, noises, error codes, picture issues or sound problems.

Check the obvious first

We can help you rule out simple issues such as power, water supply, filters, doors, settings, inputs, cables or connection problems.

Check warranty routes

If the product may still be under warranty, we can help you understand what information you may need and who the correct next contact is.

Sense-check replacement

If replacement is likely to be the better option, we can help you choose the right product for your home, space, budget and requirements.

Simple checks worth doing first

These checks do not fix every fault, but they can sometimes save an unnecessary call-out, panic purchase or replacement.

  • Has the appliance or TV definitely got power?
  • Has a fuse tripped?
  • Is the water supply turned on, where relevant?
  • Is the appliance showing an error code?
  • Is the door closing properly?
  • Has the filter been checked or cleaned?
  • Has it been switched off and restarted?
  • For TVs, is the correct input or source selected?
  • For TVs, are the aerial, HDMI cables or connected devices working properly?
  • Is the product still under warranty?

Safety first

If there is a burning smell, visible damage, water leak, gas concern or electrical safety issue, stop using the product and contact the appropriate qualified professional or emergency service. Do not continue using anything you believe may be unsafe.

Repair, warranty or replacement — what makes sense?

When repair may be worthwhile

Repair often makes sense when the product is fairly new, the likely fault is minor, or the cost of repair is sensible compared with replacement.

When replacement may be more practical

Replacement can become the more sensible option when a product is older, parts are difficult to source, faults are recurring, or repair costs no longer stack up financially.

We’ll always try to point you towards the most sensible option rather than pushing you unnecessarily towards replacement.

Bought from us? Definitely call us first.

If you bought the appliance or TV from Panasonic Store Inverness, call us before you contact anyone else. We may be able to check the purchase history, advise on warranty routes, explain what information the manufacturer may need, or help you decide whether repair or replacement is the more practical option.

Even if the product is outside warranty, we can still help you work out the next sensible step.

If replacement is needed, we’ll handle it properly

If a new appliance or TV is the right answer, we’ll help you choose a suitable replacement, check measurements and access, then arrange delivery and installation through our own local team.

We do not just leave you with a box. We deliver, install, set up, test and make sure everything is working before we leave.

Not sure whether to repair or replace?

Speak to us before you commit to anything. We’ll help you understand the practical next step, not just the quickest sale.
